What to do when your mutual funds fall? Ft. Anthony Heredia

In this video Mr Anthony Heredia, MD and CEO at Mahindra Manulife Mutual Fund gives his insights on how to invest in mutual funds during bear markets. Investors must always look to invest in diversified equity mutual funds like flexi cap mutual funds or multi cap mutual funds. First timers must avoid sectoral and thematic mutual funds otherwise they may face difficulty sleeping at night. You could have 80% of your mutual fund portfolio in flexi cap mutual funds and multi cap mutual funds and the remaining 20% in sectoral, mid, small and thematic mutual funds. You could reduce SIP in small cap mutual funds and shift to large cap mutual funds, multi cap mutual funds or flexi cap mutual funds. If you have loans running then you could stop SIPs in equity mutual funds and pay off your dues.
